Advanced Search Query Builder

We're very excited to announce a significantly expanded set of capabilities for relevance review with our new Advanced Search interface. Today, teams start a typical review process by exporting all potentially relevant documents, then deduplicating them using our platform. The next step is filtering that list of documents for relevance, which is often the most tedious part of the process. With our new search query builder that changes!

The query builder makes rules-based exemption and scoping a breeze. On the search page, click the "Advanced" button to open an interactive menu for constructing complex document searches. With a wide range of file metadata and content options, in addition to complex boolean and grouping logic, you can now easily build lists of documents and emails that fall outside the scope of your review project.

Some common uses cases this new tool enables include:

  • Bulk out-of-scoping documents and emails that don't contain the personal data of the data subject in a DSAR.
  • Bulk out-of-scoping emails based on their send date, content, sender, recipient or a combination of these criteria.
  • Flagging documents containing certain combinations of keywords for additional review.

When paired with our automatic deduplication, redundancy analysis, and quick triage tool, this new rules-based system completes the picture for a truly powerful scope-reduction process.

Additional Improvements
  • Filter files in Triage Mode by reviewer to split up a large triage job across multiple people.
  • Increased the speed of our personal data detection by 10x.
  • Inline images in emails are now properly rendered inline and large attachments are resized to a standard width.
  • Malformed CSV files will now fallback to rendering in plain text.
  • Fixed a bug that occasionally caused dropdown and hover menus to be partially hidden or not scrollable.
